Weekly timesheet template
Record seven consecutive days on a single worksheet. The Excel version generates dates from your chosen start date and totals paid minutes without rounding each shift first. The printable PDF has space for handwritten times and a review signature.
Weekly timesheet
Seven dated rows for one workweek. Enter a start date in Excel; print the PDF for a handwritten weekly record.
How to use these files
- In Excel, put the first date of the period in B6. It can be any weekday; choose the workweek your record requires.
- Fill the blue clock-in, clock-out and unpaid-break cells. Enter breaks as whole minutes, such as 30, rather than 0:30.
- Correct any message in the Check column, then review the total in hours:minutes and decimal hours. The PDF and CSV require you to calculate totals yourself.
The start date controls these seven rows. The workbook totals hours only; it does not determine overtime eligibility, a wage, or whether a particular break is legally unpaid.
Five days with an unpaid lunch
09:00–17:00 minus a 30-minute unpaid lunch is 7:30 per day. Five identical days total 37:30, or 37.50 decimal hours. Leave nonworking days blank; do not enter a lunch deduction without a shift.
What the templates calculate
Excel subtracts total unpaid break minutes from each shift, then sums paid minutes. An end before its start means the next day; equal times mean zero hours. Use clock values from 00:00 to 23:59 and shifts shorter than 24 hours. The Check column flags incomplete times, invalid values and breaks longer than a shift; fix flagged rows before using the period total.
Only deduct breaks that are unpaid. Add multiple unpaid breaks together before entering their minutes. These files have one clock-in and clock-out pair per row; use the multiple in/out calculator for split shifts. Clock arithmetic does not adjust for daylight saving changes or time zones.
PDF and CSV files do not calculate automatically. CSV dates, daily hours and totals must be completed manually. Excel formulas show hours:minutes and decimal hours; displayed decimals round to two places while the period total uses exact whole minutes. No file assumes a wage or overtime rule, and a blank form does not guarantee compliance with every employer's recordkeeping obligations.
